Leash. Treats. Clicker. Dog.

That can be a lot to handle all at once! This homework teaches you how you can manage them all by following Kim’s tips for which hand to use and how to hold each. Following these instructions will make holding your tools easier and help the training session move that much smoother!

  1. Place the loop of the leash in your right hand between thumb and first finger with the loop angled across the palm and back of hand.
  2. Place the loop for the clicker in the same place as leash loop.
  3. Gather ~1/4 – 1/2 the length of your leash and put it in your right hand with the clicker and loop.
  4. For easy access to the treats rest your treat pouch either on your left hip or the center of your body.
