Meagan

Meaghan is relatively new to being a handler but has always gravitated towards dogs and animals and them to her. Growing up in Western MA, Meaghan spent a lot of time traveling back to the Merrimack Valley to visit family meaning she couldn’t commit to having a dog of her own. Instead, she used to help walk neighborhood dogs and focused her attention on pet goldfish and gerbils.

Flash forward to present day – Meaghan finally has her good girl Tobi by her side and the two are learning together! Meaghan has taught Tobi things like sit, stay, and dance, and Tobi has taught Meaghan to find the simple excitements that exist in every day life. It’s not always a walk in the park (Meaghan loves a good pun) but they are in this learning journey together and Meaghan hopes she can help you on yours!

During the day, Meaghan leads a Process Design & Change Management function at a Health IT company. Her background in process improvement allows Meaghan to provide consistency in training and enrichment options and continuously improve her and Tobi’s experience. And understanding the human response (often aversion!) to change has helped Meaghan recognize how seemingly small adjustments can make a huge difference in the eyes of a dog!
