Elaine

Elaine had fun growing up around cats, and also learned the joys of living with a dog after her in-laws raised a chocolate lab named Mocha. She learned how to be a good dog momma and walk, train and play well with a canine fur baby when she and her late husband decided it was the right time to welcome their own puppy, Topaz. This wonderful yellow lab added so much happiness to their lives for almost 12 years, and is a greatly missed member of the family! Elaine has always loved nature and animals, and after going back to school for Occupational Therapy, discovered a job working with impaired children on horses. She has been working part time at the horse farm for almost 15 years, becoming experienced at managing small kiddos, large animals and volunteers, usually all at the same time! Working with animals is like therapy in itself, and she was excited to discover the Blue Dog company in the same town where she lives. She can now multiply her special enjoyment of dogs by working with many different canine clients. They may even inspire her to start making her own doggie treats!
